Refund and Cancellation Policy

How billing, cancelling and refunds work for PrivacyAI.

Effective November 6, 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to PrivacyAI, the data broker removal service of Erase Technologies, LLC ("Erase", "we", "us"), 3050 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 400, Miami, FL 33137. Nothing in it takes away a consumer right that the law of the state where you live gives you and that can't be waived. Where the law gives you more, the law applies.

1. Your plan

  • PrivacyAI costs $8 a month, billed monthly, for a 12-month term: $96 over the term, plus any tax we're required to collect.
  • At checkout, you agree to the full 12 months, and to the plan renewing, by ticking the box. It's a commitment for the whole term, even though it's billed monthly.
  • We start working for you as soon as you finish signing up: we scan for your information, send removal requests and keep checking.
  • At the end of each term, your plan renews automatically for another 12 months, unless you cancel before the renewal date. A renewed term is a new 12-month commitment, like the first. It renews at the same monthly price, unless we've emailed you about a new one.
  • We email you at least 30 days before each renewal, with the date and what it will cost. We also email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

2. Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time, online, by turning off your subscription on the Billing page of your dashboard. You don't have to call or write to us.
  • Cancelling stops your plan renewing at the end of your current term. It doesn't end the term early: payments still due in the term continue on their billing dates, and we keep working on your removals until the term ends.
  • To avoid a new term, cancel before the renewal date. Cancelling after it stops the next renewal, and the new term's payments continue.
  • You can undo a cancellation at any time before your term ends, by turning your subscription back on.
  • We email you to confirm a cancellation, with the date your plan ends and the payments still to come.
  • When your subscription ends, we file no new requests and stop checking sites, so listings may reappear. Requests already sent stay with the sites that received them, unless you ask us to withdraw them. Then we send the withdrawal wherever the site has a way to receive one.

3. When we refund

a. We find nothing about you

If our first full scan finds no listings about you on the sites we search, we'll ask you to add more details, such as other names you've used, past addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, and run a deeper scan. If that scan also finds nothing, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment. We'll refund your first payment and end your plan immediately, with nothing more to pay.

  • A request made within the 14 days counts, even if the deeper scan finishes after them.
  • If you've no other details to add, tell us in your request, and your first scan decides.
  • Some sites can't be searched, so we send them a removal request for every customer. Those requests don't count as listings found.

b. We charged you by mistake

If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged after your subscription ended, we'll refund every charge that was wrong. Your plan otherwise carries on as it was.

c. Our service stopped working

If PrivacyAI stops working for you for 7 days or more in a row because of a problem on our side, we'll credit one monthly payment for each month it happened in, taken off your next payment. If no payments are left, we'll refund it instead. Your plan continues as normal.

d. We end your subscription without cause

We'll refund the part of any payment that covers time you didn't receive, and no further payments will be due.

e. We discontinue PrivacyAI

We'll tell you in advance, refund any amount you paid for time after it ends, and no further payments will be due.

f. A customer has died

A family member or legal representative can contact us. We'll refund the latest payment and end the plan immediately. We may ask for reasonable proof.

4. When we don't refund

Outside the cases in section 3, payments aren't refundable, and your plan runs to the end of its 12-month term. This includes when:

  • you change your mind or no longer want the service;
  • you're unhappy with the number of listings we find, or with how quickly sites remove them (some data brokers take 30 to 45 days or longer to act, and some list information again later, which is why we keep checking);
  • you forget that your plan renews and are charged for a new term (we email you at least 30 days before each renewal; you can cancel, and your plan will end at the end of that term);
  • you cancel and are then charged a payment still due in your current term.

We may make exceptions at our discretion, such as ending a plan early. Doing so once doesn't mean we'll do it again.

5. How to ask for a refund

  • Use Request a refund in your dashboard, linked from the Billing page. Tell us which part of section 3 applies, or choose Something else, and anything else we should know.
  • For section 3a, ask within 14 days of your first payment. A request made after that isn't eligible.
  • If you can't sign in, email privacyai@erase.com from the address on your account. For section 3f, a family member or legal representative can email us from any address.

6. How refunds are paid

  • We reply to every request by email within 5 business days, and process an approved refund within 5 business days.
  • Refunds go back to the card you paid with. They usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
  • If we charged tax, we refund the tax on the amount refunded.
  • We email you when a refund is issued, with the amount and the charge it's for.

7. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your card company, please email us first: we can usually fix a billing problem faster. If you file a chargeback, we end your plan immediately, with nothing more to pay. We don't also refund the disputed amount, because the chargeback already returns it to you.

8. Your information

  • A refund on its own doesn't delete your information.
  • When your subscription ends, we delete your data 90 days later without you having to ask, and email you a week before we do. You can restart your subscription before then, or use Delete my info to have it deleted sooner.
  • You can use Delete my info at any time, from the footer of every page, or by emailing privacyai@erase.com. If no subscription is running, we delete your information straight away. If you're within a paid term, we delete it when the term ends, and the term's payments and your removals continue until then. Nothing here limits any right to earlier deletion the law gives you: tell us if you believe you have one, and we'll handle your request under that law.
  • We keep billing records (your name, email, plan, invoices, refunds, and card type, last four digits and expiry) for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to 7 years, in our billing system. We also keep proof that you agreed to these terms. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

9. Coming back

If your plan ends and you sign up again later, you start a new 12-month term.

10. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. If a change is material, we'll email subscribers at least 30 days before it takes effect, and post the new date above. A change never reduces a refund you're already eligible for.
